Samantha Barks Attendance?

She is scheduled to shoot Strike the musical movie up in Canada but no announcements have been made from either end. I just know it starts shooting August 20. Until October. I just don’t know when she plans to be here etc

As far as I'm aware, Samantha hasn't missed any performances yet. (I don't think any understudies have gone on at all, but that observation is just based on social media). 

All that is to say there's always a chance someone will get sick or have an emergency, but I don't see any reason why she wouldn't be there on the 12th. Will knock on wood for you

I can't imagine that Pretty Woman would allow her to miss very many performances, particularly this early in the run (and previews).  Of course, stranger things have happened.

Why would she commit to a movie, the same month the show opens?  I plan on seeing this September 1, with the expectation she is in.  Before someone calls me entitled, being out for a movie is alot different  than sickness or family issues.  She should have never signed a contract to star in Pretty Woman, if she is planning already  on being out days after opening.

Her recording of the music video and all evidence I could find of her involvement in this project dates back to February, 2016 when the film was scheduled to be released in 2017. There is no mention of her on their website or of the project on her IMDB page. People just need to calm the heck down.

Her attendance has been great but since this only started on July 20th, that isn't saying much.  She isn't leaving for any reason, enjoy her and the show guys.

I apologize for the delay. Thank you for the answers. Unusual that producers would let her have day offs so quickly. Maybe she'll be back and forth?

Did you see that others wrote there doesn't seem to be any connection to her still being involved?

Well. I am involved with the film and we haven’t been notified that she is no longer attached.  I mean her role is by no means huge. Quite easily they could finish her work within a couple days and wrap

her. Or film her scenes outside of the original schedule. I’m just saying by all accounts that I’ve been aware of she is still on board.

Interesting that people always book the date and then wonder if someone will be there, like... wouldn't you find that out first?

Similar to a lot of posts in here where people say what seat they bought and then ask if it's any good.

When was the last time you heard someone in charge of the project proactively say she WAS still attached? Don't you think it's bizarre that shooting supposedly starts in just 2 weeks but no announcements have been made and there is absolutely no listing of any cast members on the official website?

Don’t get me wrong. I completely agree that it’s bizarre.  But I was on set for another film this week and some people involved with the other movie. Said that yes. She was still attached.  And that was three days ago.  So really I don’t know.  I could tell you when we start production in like three weeks
