re: Sandy Duncan

Sandy Duncan also played the title role in SWEENEY TOOD in an international tour of the Scandinavian countries but it was not a success and the show closed prematurely in Sweden. Some reviewers thought her miscast but what do they know in Malmo?

re: Sandy Duncan

I love Sandy! They just started re-airing 'Hogans Family' on ABC family.

Does anyone know if she ever played Cassie in 'A Chorus Line', Bway or other?

She never did A CHORUS LINE, though she would probably have been a great Cassie back during the early days of the Broadway run, for sure.

I got your joke, Calvin. I used to love THE FOGAN FAMILY, or VALERIE as it was originally called. Of course, they were reruns so I was confused when sometimes they'd show Sandy Duncan and other times Valerie Harper. It wasn't until I was older that I found out why Valerie died... er... left.

Was it called the Fogan Family, I remeber it as the Dunken Family, but I was young when it was on. I just remember the neighbor Mrs. Pool was my favorite character, and that one mom dissapeared then they got a new one. When I got older I learnd that whole story...
I Wish... Madeline Kahn could have played the Witch in Into the Woods. She would have rocked!

how strange this should come up. we were talking about her only yesterday. she is a wonderful talent. about 10 or 15 years ago she was slated to play the judy garland role in the stage production of EASTER PARADE w/ tune but then the thing got cancelled (there were many reaons but some believe that tommy was so overshadowed by sandy and the australian phenom, rhonda burchmore, that he just wasn't interested in doing it after a while)

Garland Grrl, I'm thinking I was supposed to see a tryout of that Easter Parde in Houston that never came to be, but I'm not sure. I might just be thinking Houston becaue Tommy Tune was involved.

re: Sandy Duncan

she guest starred on the first season of the muppet show in '76, and was fantastic. I recently purchased the first season. she is so full of energy, and really is a great dancer. I had no idea until I saw her dancing with life size muppets. who knew?
