haha you started a thread! GO YOU!
SARAH = LOVELY FABOO!
She was so cute in Taboo. Gotta love the sound she belted in "Safe In The City" - one of the best songs of all time.

What is startling is the contrast between "Safe in the City" and "Il Adore". Two entirely different voices, it seems!!
Yay Sarah!!! I love her.

shes SUPer talented!!!!!!!!!
she is the best most flexible of the ingenues i've seen...i've written about her on this board before, but i thought i was the only one getting her. She was breathtaking in the CAROUSEL national tour, and she's also very very funny...plus, as mentioned, can both belt and float vocally. Love her!
I absolutely LOVE her voice.
I'd be curious to see if anyone here saw her when she was in Les Miz way back when.

Yes, Yes, YES! I saw her in Les Mis back in '97 - right after it had just re-opened. I loved her! She was simply amazing!!! The whole show was. Truly incredible. My defining broadway moment - considering I've only seen three shows on Broadway. I'd love to hear more of her and I wish there was a recording of the cast I saw.

Did anybody see her as Sarah in the Chelsea workshop of Dance of the Vampires? That was when the script had class, before Ives destroyed all the beautiful dialogue Steinman had written...

...or as Miss Dorothy in Millie's pre-Broadway run in La Jolla?
I love her. She has auditioned for a few shows I've Musical Directed. I'm sorry to report we never hired her but man, I LOVE HER. She is soooo talented. I hope I can work with her someday.

I saw her as Miss Dorothy and I thought she was perfect for the role. I was really surprised she didn't go on to the Broadway production.
I'm going to see her in a production of OKLAHOMA at Sacramento's Music Circus in a few weeks. She's playing Laurie and Jennifer Cody is Ado Annie. I love her voice and can't wait to see her in this show.

There is something fascinating to me about Sarah Uriarte Berry...for one...her name.
But more than that it seems that it takes all of her being to sing...it sounds as if she is giving it everything...and her voice is very very unique...I'm not sure how I feel about it.
I saw her in La Jolla Millie and she was very good...light as a feather...and during "Falling in Love" it looked as if she was going to fall over she was working so much...she was very funny...she's got quite a range.
And she is just beatiful.. Id like to see her work more..O wonder why she didnt go with Millie. My dance teacher was in the chorus of La Jolla and said that when Sutton took over for Erin, Sarah had to change her character became a by the way. It was more about accomodating Sutton than personal work and then things fell by the wayside I assume....but this is all heresay. In fact I remember the day she told us Erin got fired...that she was sad to see that happen. ( Erin and Sutton have very similar voices...Erin is quite fabulous herself.) Lovin Sutton though...that La Jolla production was one of the most exciting theatre experiences I've had.
Oh also saw Kate Baldwin, her understudy at La Jolla....and I;m not comparing the two of them...because they were both good...but Kate is a wonderful wonderful performer...

I love Sarah! She's grown so much and done so well for herself in 10 short years. I first saw her in the Les Mis tour's Cupertino, CA stop in early 1994. She was a chorus girl at the time, but I got to see her fill in as Eponine once in a cast that included Chuck Wagner as Javert, Dave Clemmons as Valjean, and a pre-fabulous Brian D'Arcy James in the ensemble. A few years later, she amazed me as Betty in the Petula Clark/Lewis Cleale Sunset Boulevard tour which also featured her hubby Michael as Artie. Imagine losing your wife to Lewis Cleale 8 times a week. I know I couldn't handle it.
I've loved her in everything she's done and it was a great surprise to see her so differently in Taboo.

Does anyone have any ideas on other roles she could play?
she's so versatile, just name a show. I can see her playing a role in most of the current shows and many other musicals. she's great as a belter and as a lovely soprano.
how about...
Ellen in Miss Saigon
Svetlana or Florence in Chess
Marguerite in Pimpernel
Cathy in L5Y
Lucille in Parade
Lilli in Kiss Me Kate
Daisy in Side Show
Sally in Cabaret (or has she done that?)
