Anyone else think they'd be better off waiting until the Summer or Fall to open this? There's already tough competition for the best musical revival Tony award(Ragtime, La Cage, ..Night Music, Finian's).

I'm probably one of the few in the world who actually likes Scarlett Johanssen and would go just to see her in this (and yes, I know it won't be her). And I would love to be excited about Sean Hayes, but then I try to imagine him singing "Basketball" and I just don't see it. I just hope we're not in for another Bye Bye Birdie.

Gershon is way too old for the role as is Chenoweth. She's certainly older than Hayes.

She has been mentioned in this thread, eh? Hmm... I'd be most excited for Anne Hathaway. I wouldn't mind Scarlett or Zooey Deschanel either. I'd be excited about everyone mentioned in this thread actually... well except for Katie Holmes (I hope that comment was a joke, lol). I don't like Jessica Biel either, but she could surprise me. I'm still rooting for Anne though even though it's much less likely since she seems to be too busy.

I am a huge fan of Chenoweth, thought she gave a comic tour-de-force in THE APPLE TREE, but the more I think about her in the part, the less I'm convinced she's completely right for it.
Someone like Anika Noni Rose or Anne Hathaway would be more appropriate, IMO.

I'm not gonna lie, I think that Kristin Chenoweth is capable of doing pretty much everything, so I would be thrilled if she is in this. Also, I don't know the role that well, but I can definitely hear her singing the score quite well.

Love Is Company, if I'm not mistaken, was the same person who told us that Raul Esparza and Kate Winslet were in the final steps of signing up for A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC.

So I wouldn't be so sure to jump to conclusions about casting just because he/she says so. Nothing personal, Love Is Company.

I personally hope it's not Cheno. I think she's incredibly talented but a) she's getting on my nerves lately (ha) and b) I don't think she's right for this role. I hope it's Anne Hathaway although I highly doubt it is.

I would love it if it is Kristin! She is my favorite actress out of everyone mentioned, I just didn't believe it because she does seem too old. Oh well, she looks amazing and she definitely could handle the role. I'm not getting my hopes up until it's official. For now I'll just be excited about Sean Hayes and the show itself.

Just my 2 cents....but, as far as I know, Chenoweth doesn't want to do Promises although her 'people' are trying to convince her to do it. She obviously could name the part she wants (on broadway) and I've no doubt she'll be back on television again soon. We'll be getting plenty of K.C. in some way or another very soon. (whether we want it or not)

Well I'm for one am glad Chenoweth is not interested in playing "Fran Kubelik" as she is ALL WRONG for the part. So please tell her "people" whoever they may be to stop wasting their time and hers in trying to convince her into taking a part she is not suited for. Thank you and have a nice day.
