Has anyone else had any problems with SeatGeek? Months ago I tried to get tickets for into the woods from them and never received a confirmation code so I contacted support and they told me my order never went through and the charge from my card would disappear in a few days and to just buy new tickets. Fast forward to now I have had endless calls with them and my bank and they refuse to give me my money back unless I cancel the other tickets I bought (but even then id only get one of my orders money back). I don't know if any of this made sense but moral of the story I cannot stand seat geek.
I've never had any issues with them, with buying Broadway tickets. I went to see Hadestown, Pass Over, and American Utopia last September with no issue.
However, when I used them to buy Yankees tickets last month, it was nothing short of a headache. Literally, I had to take Tylenol afterwards.

Hmm. I've never found it much worse for seat selection than Ticketmaster.

I bought a ticket for opening night. Last row of the Orchestra and then they canceled my order and took the ticket back. By the time I got the email all that was left was the last few rows of the balcony for twice the price of what I paid earlier in the day. So I passed. A few days later they gave me a 15% discount for another show but it expired the same day. I saw the show at City Center from the front row. The only reason I was going again was for opening night. I've bought tickets to other opening nights and never had this kind of thing happen. I hate using them!

realistically, that's more so on the show/theater than them.
I did not enjoy my first journey through their purchasing funnel, but once I realized I could ignore their filtered listings and just choose on the seating chart, it was fine. Just took longer than I'd have liked to get oriented.
And yes, having an opening night ticket canceled is the result of the production needing more seats for people involved with the show; perhaps Sara Bareilles had another guest who needed a ticket. That has nothing to do with SeatGeek.
