Also, in a slightly different way, I can totally relate to the main idea of this thread: How a show experience can be affected if you're not feeling well and/or able to be totally invested in the show.
Actually, I had a ticket for last night's performance of Stereophonic that I exchanged for one in mid-May. - Why? Because after buying the ticket, I found out that it's was my cousin's son's Communion that day (a ceremony & party involved). - When I realized that the event would follow a tiring work week & start earlier than I'd like on a Saturday, I said to myself, " Do I really want to see a 3 hour drama, after all of that? If that ends up being the first time I get to sit down...in the dark too...is the week going to catch up to me & thus, I'll miss much of the show?" - So, prioritzing my ability to see the show feeling my best & most alert, I got new tickets on a better day!
