Sending good thoughts to Jan Maxwell

As someone who has been hit by a car, it sounds like she was incredibly lucky! Playbill says she may be back on Tuesday, from my experience that's probably too soon. So glad she's okay!

Wishing her a fast and speedy recovery. Saw the show about a month ago and she was absolutely fantastic!

And now, I'll make the joke since no one else has...

When she comes back, she's actually playing Carlotta, so she can sing "I'm Still Here."

(End bad joke)

Goes without saying, but of course I wish her the very best. Glad it wasn't something much worse.

It sounds like a serious accident. she should take a few more days off just in case.

i hope she takes the time she needs to heal. Getting hit by a car is serious stuff.

Sending very positive thoughts her way for a quick and complete recovery.

I'm sure she's gotten medical clearance to perform. Not ALL car accidents are major -- I got hit by a car on my bike years ago, and it wasn't all "that bad", the fall was far worse than the hit. I was sore a day or two, but nothing else.(Being in shape also minimizes injury.) Also, remember she wasn't even hospitalized -- so it sounds like it was all pretty minimal -- although emotional.

That being said, I'm sure there are other performers that would easily ride the accident for longer.

Glad she's ok!
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

As someone who has worked with Jan, she is definitely a trooper who would put the show before her own needs. I hope that she took the proper amount of time off. Anyone see Colleen?
