Hi! My two friends and I want to pick a song for our senior year Cabaret that is sentimental and would make people cry. (Along the lines of Slipping Through My Fingers from Mamma Mia, but it would have to be a trio. If anyone has any three female musical theatre song suggestions that would be very helpful. We have all ranges covered, and we just want to find something that could be about leaving, friendship, love for each other or whatever :)

I feel like you could make Somethings at meant to be from Little Women a tear jerking trio

With lyric/reassignment modifications, you can do "Old Friends" from Merrily We Roll Along, "Everything Changes" from Waitress, "For Good" from Wicked (even though it's a duet), "I Just Might" from 9 to 5, "Climb Ev'ry Mountain" from Sound of Music (solo), "I Will Never Leave You" from Side Show (also originally a duet), "You'll Never Walk Alone" from Carousel (solo, as well)...
Basically any song from the musical version of Vanities that wasn't a duet or solo... that show might be your best bet, anyway. There's plenty in there with themes that you're looking for.
Suggestion: Don't limit your search to a song specifically written for a female trio.
The three of you could choose a song that you feel would be appropriate (solo or otherwise), then order an SSA arrangement of the song. Someone in your choral department would be able to assist in ordering the SSA sheet music for you.
Choral arrangements by Mark Brymer (Hal Leonard) are a good bet.
Take a look at The Andrew Lloyd Webber Love Trio on You Tube but only perform it if all have the vocal skill since there are much easier things mentioned which would be effective and fulfilling,
