I've been hearing rumblings that Roundabout is trying to extend the show a few more weeks into mid-August. Basically depends on the leads in the show.

That's interesting. I know that Zachary Levi holds an event outside San Diego Comic-con called Nerd HQ. His company runs it and he is a major participant. They haven't formally announced it for this year, but most people expect it. That dates would be July 21st to July 24th.
When he was in First Date, he actually took time off from Previews to go to San Diego.
I suppose that if they wanted to extend it to August, he might ask for time off.

I saw the show tonight and absolutely loved it. I knew very little about it and hadn't heard any of the music. The whole cast was terrific. Andrew Kober was on for Sipos and was great. I struggled in the beginning to hear exactly what they were saying as the orchestra was a bit loud but it mellowed out as it went along. I know people are gushing about Jane but I have to say Laura was the highlight. I'm so happy to have seen her live. Her voice is amazing, she's funny as hell, and clearly has great chemistry with the rest of the cast. You can really tell that she loves what she's doing. At one point she even got Zac to laugh. There's a part in the bedroom scene where puts her hand to her head, well she managed to hit her mic and it made a loud noise. She then cracked and ad libbed a couple lines and so did Zac and the audience just ate it up.
And as fir Zachary Levi. That guy is a great talent. He can sing, and act and is charismatic while doing it. Not to mention he is so charming and nice at the stage door. I never take photos at the stage door but I was so smitten with him that I had to. I see some Tony awards coming their way and would think they are the front runners for best revival and Laura's name has to go in the conversation as well.
Overall it was a great night at the theatre. For those wondering about seating, I sat in the last row of the front mezzanine in row DD ,116 and had a great view
I have to apologize for bringing back a two year old thread, but i wanted to say some thoughts!
I just finished watching the PBS special for the third time tonight, and this musical leaves such a great feeling inside of me. I absoutley love it. With all thats going on in the world, and always turning on the news to politics 24/7 it was so nice to watch this and forget about the outside world and all my stress thats going on.
Even though I never saw it live, this was a great musical and It will be the best theatre experince ive seen. I couldnt imagine what it was like seeing it in the theatre. Im in such a great mood!
