Decades ago she gave a riveting, unforgettable performance in LANDSCAPE OF THE BODY at the Public. I think the last play I saw her in was CYCLING PAST THE MATTERHORN. She was a luminous presence on the screen and on stage. May she rest in peace.

May she RIP. She was such a great and very underrated actress. Four performances that immediately come to mind: "Sweet Bird of Youth", "Petulia", "The Group" and "The Rain People".

I saw her in Kennedy's Children a thousand years ago as the Golden. The play, really a series of monologues from a cast of 4 or 5, was pretty boring to me. Every time she was on, however, the play seemed better.
I always felt that she was under-appreciated. After Dark at the Top of the Stairs and Sweet Bird of Youth, I would have expected her to have along career as a character actress in films; most of what she did was really one-off guest star roles in a thousand TV shows, which seemed such a waste to me, given her talent. At least there are 7 - 8 movies that she shined in.
