I doubt they ever took pictures of her as Tracy. She was a standby, and never was officially the part. The only ones are either illegal from an audience member or personal pictures from backstage. I saw her do the role and she was amazing. Better than Marissa. It was nice to hear someone that could actually sing the role. And she was FUNNY.

i had the pleasure of seeing her interpretation and let me say this : SHE IS A TOTAL TRIPLE THREAT!!! That girl can sing, dance, and act her little butt off! go shoshana!!

Oh ok. It is just hard to imagine someone playing Elphaba playing Tracy. Eventhough it is acting they are SO Different.

I, um... may have listened to a recording of Shoshana Bean singing "Without Love" with Matthew Morrison, Kerry Butler and Corey Reynolds. I definitely prefer Shoshana over Marissa Jaret Winokur.
Well... who WOULDN'T I prefer to listen to over MJW? She's not the most pleasant-to-the-ear singer.

I did a little sluthing and was able to come up with a link to a photo gallery on one of her fan sites that has her with hairspray cast at what i think is the tony's but they;re like on the red carpet though

Katy Grenfell could ALSO actually sing the part unlike Winokur. She even did some neat pop ad-libing in "I can hear the bells" that Winokur is unable to do because she has no vocal ability other than screaming out of her nose.

Yeah, but Marissa had more heart than any other young actress on broadway and had the ability to win over the audience in the first two seconds. She had so much star quality...and although she isn't barbara streisand she is a PHENOMINAL interpretor of song and really told the story. I believed every word she sang on that stage...unfortunately the same can't be said for Shoshana whom I saw and was surprised at how much unjustified vocal riffing occured. It was 1960...not American Idol in 2004. She can sing, sure, but Marissa was so much more warm and believable in the role. She was the real deal.

Shosh is my number one, but gotta give it up for MJW. She was the best, and by far the funniest. And, it is a comedy, not a concert. Nothing against Shosh though. She can do anything, but we can't bash MJW, thats just wrong.

MJW reminds me of a kristin Chenoweth...she has that cute bubbly personality, on and off stage. And yes, her singing voice was just that way for Tracy. If you saw her telefilm "Beautiful Girl", you could hear her actual voice...although on occasion you could tell Tracy was still there.

I also heard a recording of Katy Grenfell and I actually wanted to listen to MJW instead. Perhaps it was an off-night, but Katy had absolutely no energy or emotion, she was audibly out of breath, and couldn't sustain a note to save her life. I was extremely disappointed, especially after people kept raving about her performance.

only Kristin Chenoweth is a LOT more talented tham MJW.
right right i saw that movie, slipped my mind. Although, I dont think her voice was shown off well in that movie. You could tell that she was good, but justthe songs they gave her didnt work in my opinion.

MJW is a big fat ugly bitch. Katy Grenfell was the creative team's first choice but unfortunately the producers always win and they thought Katy was a little too tall.
