Margo, the Steel Pier score is charming and quite good. That must have kept you awake.
Anyway, there are many shows in need of a revival. Night Music, Birdie and South Pacific (though it is coming soon) come to mind. I would also like to throw in Golden Boy, which is very well written, it just got swept up in the Fiddler and Dolly craziness, though I enjoy it more than those two shows (Well, maybe not Hello, Dolly).

"The Golden Apple" - Though I'm sure that it is still too intelligent a show to be popular...
I have been wanting revival of "Pippin" just so that Nanette Fabray could be cast as Berte, so that I could see her in a musical before she dies.
Ana Gasteyer was a phenominal Fanny Brice here in Pittsburgh a couple of years ago. And, as the show starts in with a flashback, I'd say that she would need to be as old as she was whenever Nicky Arnstein got released from prison.
But Streisand is so ingrained in every fiber of "Funny Girl" that you would have to discover the next Barbra Streisand to make you forget the original Barbra Streisand if you were to mount the show again.
Hey! How about a reality contest show to do just that!
You can call it "Who Is The Pip With Pizzaz?"

"ScaryWarhol, you do know that there is going to be a concert version of ...SUPERMAN next month, don't you? I forget who is doing it, but it is a new company and I believe they are doing it at The Duplex here in NYC. They did a concert version of BRING BACK BIRDIE a few months ago that was fairly well recieved."
Thanks
Yeah, I did hear of that. But I remember reading there was a "two-drink minimum" and I was like...oh, I'm 16, they aren't going to let me in, are they?
I would like to see it though

I agree with Funny Girl, Applause and Lestat (though that wont ever happen) and Carnival.
I would like to see a great revival of sunday in the park though. I know the west end one was supposed to transfer but I think broadway missed a big oppurtunity when Raul Esparza did it at the Kennedy Center.

You, however, are not.

Somebody mentioned on a previous thread what a great Dorothy Anika Noni Rose would be in the Wiz. I never got a chance to see Caroline or Change, but after seeing Dreamgirls and her awesome performance on the Oscars, her in a revival of The Wiz would be something I would run to.
I would love a revival of Aspects of Love.

As a CY COLEMAN fan I would love to see:
CITY OF ANGELS and ON THE 20TH CENTURY
Can't believe Broadway hasn't seen SOUTH PACIFIC since the original run. The National Theatre did an OK job of updating the staging a few years ago.
Votes too for FUNNY GIRL, A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC (bring Judi Dench over!)and HELLO DOLLY!
