What are some shows, current or in the past, that throw/threw things into the audience for members to keep? Or there was something for the audience to catch? I only know of two
1 - In Chicago, when Roxie and Velma throw roses (the lady in front of me caught it - damn!).
2 - In Cabaret when the money falls from the ceiling.

I just wanted to follow up on the Chicago one. It took me about 20 times seeing the show to catch a rose and finally, Paige Davis kissed one and threw it, or rather just about placed it into my lap..I was so excited. At the stage door she was like you guys in that corner were amazing, thanks for the energy...love her

I'm not sure if this was a one night thing or always happens, but when I saw Rent, Adam Pascal threw a guitar pick into the audience. In Wicked, paper streamer things are projected into the audience.
I heard about someone getting the Millie ticket.
WindyCityActor don't you meen Hugh Jackman....and yup....would pay to get my hands on that towel!
also in RENT, a key slides across the stage and ocassionally lands in the audience. My friend, who has gone 50 (yes 50) times has caught it 5 times. In TBFO, Hugh Jackman through something into the audience. Don't remember if it was a shirt or something but he definately threw something in. It was when he was preparing for Radio City and they were dressing him. He loked up at the Mezzanine and said "you guys have the good view right now don't ya?" yes we did. when they were changing him I caught a glimpse of his *ahem* friend. also in CHRISTMAS CAROl, although not "trown" they do give out candy to the audience.
The audience is COVERED in crap when they see BROOKLYN.
Yeah, I forgot...the Millie ticket is thrown into the orchestra pit, and during intermission people can go up to the pit and ask for the ticket.
Mimi's stash goes into the audience in RENT quite often too...and on occasion the projector at the end.
Wicked drops streamers on the first few rows.
In the revival of Gypsy, the strippers through their garters into the audience, and "Louise" threw her glove (which I caught) into the audience.
A long time ago I saw the Philadelphia Story with Blythe Danner at the Vivian Beaumont Theatre. I was in the front row. At one point, she's supposed to say her line and then throw down her shoes in disgust. She miss threw and it went off stage and smacked me in the head, rather hard I might add. She acually broke character and burst out with, "Oh my god, I'm so sorry!" She then asked if I was all right. I noded that I was fine and the show went on.
In THE PLAY WHAT I WROTE, they throw a duck floaty pool toy into the audience.
GREAT, HILARRRIOUS SHOW.
it got mega-gypped.

That crazy "Blue Man Group" performance show. Who knew that when sitting in the poncho seats, you actually had to wear a poncho?!?
Don't know if this should count, but there's tons of **** thrown from the AUDIENCE in Rocky Horror Show.
'also in RENT, a key slides across the stage and ocassionally lands in the audience. My friend, who has gone 50 (yes 50) times has caught it 5 times.' 'Mimi's stash goes into the audience in RENT quite often too...'
I've caught one key and 2 bags of Mimi's stash, but I returned the 'stash' when I went to the stage door

You're not really supposed to take the key at Rent. The guy who comes from underneath the stage to retrieve it will beat you with his cane if he thinks you're trying to steal it.
In LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS, plants are tossed into audience at the end when Audrey II takes over the whole world-"Don't Feed The Plants!"
In the epic and magnificent play Cloudstreet, they threw ice cream tubs out to the audience at one point. That was fun.

Oy.... Yes, the infamous Chicago roses.... I've got 21 of them to my name... maybe I should give some back for re-use jk
If in Heaven you don't excel, you can always party down in hell...
The Hedwig and the Angry Inch I saw here in Seattle, Nick Garrison spit beer on and threw tomatoes at the audience. Beautiful.
In YOU'RE A GOOD MAN, CHARLIE BROWN, Kristen Chenoweth throws her crumbled up "D" paper into the audience.
At the Good Vibrations show at Vassar this summer, castmembers came to the front of the stage to sing and clap a medley of songs and then came down to dance with people in the audience, and they were hitting beach balls back and forth from the stage to the audience.
I presume theyll be doing it on Broadway too. It was fun
I'm not sure if this counts, but in Blue Man Group, you have to pass up toilet paper to the stage, and it falls everywhere in the audience.
