OK -- which shows do you think closed too early and were never allowed to build an audience -- to the top of my list would be Jane Eyre

There are so many. Some may not necessarily have built are larger audiences, but in my opinion, they are great shows that didn't deserve to close (not taking into account any economic factors). Here are a few (on and off-Broadway):

Parade
Last Five Years
Assassins
Jane Eyre

There are more, but it's much too early for me to be able to think of them.

There are some people in the world who say that writing stories, or composing music or dancing sparkly dances is easy for them. Nothing interferes with their ability to create. While I celebrate their creative freedom, a little part of me just wants to punch those motherf*ckers in the teeth...[tos]

GYPSY, ASSASSINS, MACK & MABEL, CATS (Haha, jk!), ASSASSINS, THE GOODBYE GIRL, NOISES OFF (revival), ASSASSINS, NINE (revival), PRIVATE LIVES (revival), ASSASSINS, and last but not least, URINETOWN!!!!!!

Emcee, besides TABOO all those shows had very healthy runs. While some of them were fantastic shows, it will be good to get some new shows on those stages. It's no fun to only have the same things playing. It's kind of like going to the movies and them always showing the same things.
