I actually wish that Amour would have run longer than its 7 performances (not sure on that number). I heard it was an intimate little show with a lot of feeling. Just wishing I could have seen it.
I have to agree with everyone:
Side Show
Parade
Assassins

Notice how it's the boring and badly-written shows that tend to succeed these days? All of those others that had good runs were quality material, but crushed. Anyone Can Whistle RULZ! I love it as much as Dream Engine. Carrie was a monster, but it was gorgeous. If it had of succeeded, ANYTHING would be possible. But alas... Dance of the Vampires was slaughtered. It should've been how it was in Stuttgart. No one had any right to turn an opera into a musical comedy that made no sense. That was deplorable. Yes, all the good shows die young these days in Broadway.
I have never seen a show on Broadway, but by the status of the cast recordings, I have to say:
PARADE
THE WILD PARTY (Lippa version)
SECRET GARDEN (GORGEOUS!!!!!)
RAGTIME
HEDWIG (Needed to be on Broadway in the first place)
SWEENEY TODD (There needs to be a revival)
And so on, and so forth
