Anybody know the critic's tally for SIDE SHOW? Ben Brantley gave it an (almost) unqualified rave in the New York Times.

Cyrano The Musical 1994 4 month run! Beautiful production.
I loved Murderous Instincts becasue it lived up to every bad story surrounding it! Sooooooon bad it was good! But also very bad!

A young actress with Noel coward after a dreadful opening night performance said to him 'Well, i knew my lines backwards this morning!'' Noels fast reply was ''Yes dear, and thats exactly how you said them tonight'!'

Was Aida panned? Legally Blonde received mixed-to-positive reviews, I thought. And I don't remember Mamma Mia being panned at all. Critics were surprisingly kind.

I wish I could have seen Taboo, I love the OCR. In the documentary "Show Business" it is very interesting to hear the critics talk about this show--you get the feeling their pans had very little to do with the show itself.

Just my opinion, but the original production of Merrily We Roll Along is still the best. Maybe it's the rawness- and the presence of Hills of Tomorrow at the beginning and end of the show- beautiful dramatic irony.
