I know Spring Awakening used hand held mics, and Bloody, Bloody Andrew Jackson also does. Have there been any other recent (since body mics came into fashion) shows that have used hand-held mics?
I loved the way they were used in BBAJ, so I'm just curious!

Memphis, in the finale, which really doesn't make sense but what can ya do.

The original 1972 Broadway production of GREASE used hand-held mics for ALL of the musical numbers.

Rockabye Hamlet (1976), perhaps the most underrated Broadway musical flop ever. Ophelia (Beverly D'Angelo, above) famously killed herself by strangling herself with her mic cord.
I love Leata Galloway as Gertrude. Nice boots!
