There was a big, beyond creepy clown costume used in the Fun Fair scene in CHITTY. Clowns don't usually effect me, but I was put on edge from it.

He Who Gets Slapped is also about a clown.

My Favourite Year also has a clown scene in it (near the end).
The production of Orpheus Descending I was involved with had a clown in it - it's not a particularly important character, but I think it's written into the script that it is a clown.
