Posted: 10/3/12 at 4:09pmDon't forget "The 39 Steps" which opened less than 5 years ago. It ran nearly 2 years and the longest running play in nearly a decade. This is even more remarkable since it opened the same season as the juggernaut God of Carnage and ran longer too.

Posted: 10/4/12 at 8:38amSHIPWRECKED, by Donald Margulies. The production at 59E59 a few years back was just as enchanting as PETER..., and far less elaborate. Three actors playing multiple characters, lots of props and sound effects ( most of them created by the actors ) and mesmerizing story telling.
Cheyenne Jackson tickled me. AFTER ordering SoMMS a drink but NOT tickling him, and hanging out with Girly in his dressing room (where he DIDN'T tickle her) but BEFORE we got married. To others. And then he tweeted Boobs. He also tweeted he's good friends with some chick on "The Voice" who just happens to be good friends with Tink's ex. And I'm still married. Oh, and this just in: "Pettiness, spite, malice ....Such ugly emotions... So sad." - After Eight, talking about MEEEEEEEE!!! I'm so honored! :-)

PigPen's "The Old Man and the Old Moon" at Gym at Judson absolutely reminded me of Peter and the Starcatcher. You can see in the production shots that they've made their props out of found objects like cartons and kitchen supplies.
