Posted: 7/26/09 at 12:22amDoes anyone know anything about Shrek rush and lottery? I know they do both and was trying to figure out what one I should do. Is lottery at the M&M store usually busy? what time should I get there for student rush? Anyone know where the seats are for the rush and lotto too? Thanks a lot!!

Lotto tix are on sides of the orchestra, starting in the front row and working back. At least when I got them. However the stage is horribly high and you have to watch the whole thing propped up. Mess.
Save your money and just lotto. Rush is overpriced, but may get better seats.

Posted: 7/26/09 at 10:51amthe lottery takes place from 10 to 11 on the top floor of M&M world, for some strange reason, and the rush tickets you can get any time after that. I've heard they easy to get.. I won the lotto once, and was in the front row on the side of the orchestra, and I must say that I usually LOVE the front row.. but in this show it was very annoying because of how high the stage and set was. They are indeed very partial view.. It was difficult to enjoy the show because you really couldn't see well, I'm tall too, and I couldn't even see Christopher Sieber's fake legs.. So if you win the lottery you're better off not being the first person to buy your tickets.

I guess M&M had an agreement with them, because they call that area Shrek's Swamp Shop. I think I remember when they had special bags of the candy that had to do with Shrek. I guess that promotion is over, so there is no reason for them to still do the lotto there.
I personally found it odd to do it there anyway. I mean, the store is overpriced, and I just went in there to do the lotto and a couple other times to kill time.
And, I definitely was not the first person to purchase my lotto ticket, but I got in the front row side, and others I noticed were in the box seats. So, I guess it depends on what is available and what the box office people decide to do.

'I always wondered why it was at M&M world and not the theater.'
Because the type of people that M&M World attracts are the same people who see Shrek. They were able to partner up and have Shrek-themed products in the store. Shrek got publicity and M&M World got business.

I was at the M&M store the other day with some relatives and I spotted this on the sign for Shrek's lotto:

Posted: 7/27/09 at 7:20pmI was there last wednesday and got to the theater around 6:15-6:30ish (after being turned down form acouple of shows i wanted to see but had no shows on wed.) and I was able to get student rush tix...a little to rich for my blood but my seat the bomb it was in the mid section mezz dead center. I also noticed that there were plenty of empty seats behind me (ok maybe 10) but i say go for the rush..if u wanna spend a lil extra
