How Strict are they at Shrek on the 1 per College ID. I want to take my GF but she's not a college student.
I see Shrek is on TDF
Don't know...but usually pretty strict.
The student rush for Shrek is 36.50. Wouldn't TDF be cheaper? I don't have an account but I've used friends on many occasions and its always been $30-$33. Also, you'll probably get a better seat.
It's not like Shrek IDs you going into the theatre so I am going to guess that your going to be fine in that regard. The only time I have ever been ID'd going into a theatre with a student rush ticket was when I saw Legally Blonde.
When I went to see Haven Burton as Fiona a couple of weeks ago, I went to the box office and asked about "rush." I specifically didn't say student, because I'm not a student, and if it was student only, I could have played dumb and pretended I didn't know. They sold me seat R2 in the orchestra, for $36.50. Never asked for ID, never told me it was student only.
However, it probably depends on who is working the window. The man I had appeared completely disinterested in everything going on. I could have told him the world was ending, and he would have responded with barely a nod.

TDF tickets are $36.50 plus fees so it comes to $77 for 2 tickets Vs.
Rush which comes to 73 for 2 seats.
So rush comes out cheaper but not much.
Question for those who have purchased SHREK tickets via TDF: are they generally rear mezzanine?
It says on the TDF page something about it possibly being in the rear mezzanine but I was wondering if it's more likely than possible.
I purchased TDF tickets for Shrek last Feb and was in the rear mezz, but rear mezz is slightly misleading. The actual front mezz isn't very big and I was in row C of the rear mezz (which goes back pretty far) - pretty nice seats with a good overall view of the stage. And a good value - I checked the pricing and they normally sell row C of the rear mezz for ~$105.

I purchased a rush ticket for Shrek on Friday. The lady who handled my order, while polite, definitely made it clear that she would not sell me the ticket if I did not have a school ID to show her.
I just thank god every time that I use it that my grad school ID does not have an expiration date on it, lol.
PS - The seat wasn't too terrible either, Row B in the rear mezz, which I prefer since I like to be a bit further back and higher up to take in all of the design elements, since I'm a big tech nerd. And the show certainly delivered on that aspect.
I've done Shrek student rush a couple of times and I've gotten some really awesome seats from it but they are pretty strict about the 1 per college ID rule...when I rushed with my friend they asked both of us for IDs when they sold us the tickets.
I was just wondering how the tdf seats for Shrek have been recently. There will be six of us going on Thursday, and it would be great to have an idea of the general are beforehand (ie. last row of theatre or off to the extreme side). Any input is appreciated! Thank you!
ba-dump-ump!
Does anyone know if they have sold any student rush tickets this week? I want to see it one more time before it closes.
