My friend went today (and lost), but told me that the lady pulling names made it VERY clear that the seats they were selling were partial view only. I thought the seats were front row center. Do they consider those partial view? Or did they change the policy? Thanks!
The seats were never front row center. They are the front rows on the two sides and side boxes.
The seats are pretty bad I thought. I was lucky I went on a tuesday night and moved to an orchestra seat during intermission.
My cousin and her boyfriend won the Shrek lottery last Sunday. They got front row limited view seats (far left). She approached an usher asking if they had any better seats available and he moved them to center orchestra row Q. Worth a try, I guess.

That is odd for lotto seats to be partial view IMO.

Just curious, for those that have tried both or know the answer... is Student Rush or Lottery generally better seating?
Depends on what you like, I think. Rush tickets can be good (and with the way this show has been selling, I wouldn't be surprised if you got a great seat), but when I went I was towards the middle of the Rear Mezz, which was a decent seat, but it felt *very* far back, and I didn't really get to see many details.
From what I've heard about the lotto, the seats are close, but due to their location it is difficult to see the big picture due to weird angles and how close to the stage they are.
Another thing to take into consideration . . . lotto seats are $10 cheaper.
I personally LOVE seat B2 ~ which is a lottery seat. You're before the stage angles up too high on the side, AND especially during coat season, just fold your coat up and sit on that...gives you an extra couple of inches. I haven't had a hard time seeing from there. I'd imagine B1 is similar.

Does it matter?- Just move to one of the 1,000 empty seats
