@everythingtaboo - At the JEJ, what's in place of the original basement bathrooms now? I recall there are also bathrooms on multiple levels now, right?

I don't think that is the plan, but I could be wrong. When they bought New World Stages, NWS was holding events in the lobby space and theaters. The events continued for a while but they moved them to a few other locations owned by the Shuberts. They have held events at the Imperial and my guess is that is what the new event space is going to be used for.
I am also wondering when the renovations are going to happen at the Lyceum. From what I heard, it was actually supposed to happen after the Cort was done before Phantom announced, but they did the Majestic instead. My thought is because it was a quicker renovation project than the Lyceum. I am assuming the renovations at the Lyceum will take a long time but maybe not as long as this Imperial Renovation. Just my thoughts.

The drawing looks to me like a bar/lounge space, accessible from both the public level and the mezzanine level of the theatre, not dissimilar to ATG's special lounges.
The types of events that I think you're referring to (annual League meetings, NAMT festival, etc) are still usually held places like NWS and Stage 42 and are much easier to do there without the Broadway unions, even when those theaters have a show running in them.
There is also commercial space (office space) on other floors of the theatre's new annex, which I assume Shubert will either use to expand its current office-space footprint or rent out to producers and GM firms.

Last time I was there, there were signs directing everyone to use the annex stairs, including the ones going to the basement level where the old bathrooms are.

They do more events outside of the ones you mentioned. They were doing a lot of corporate events also at NWS, not at Stage42 unless they have started using it in the past year or so. I know as I worked a lot of the events there. My understanding is that they aren't doing as many there these days. That just made me think they may want to use this space at/next to the Imperial for some events.
