James Barbour is also attached to this. I saw him more as Maxim than Hugh. Guess he's playing Favell. :/
Bogess seems fine to me. Carmello is okay, but I was really hoping for Judy Kuhn. Panaro doesnt fit for me.

Oh my God, doodle, Judy Kuhn would have been AMAZING!!!
I agree. My second choice would've been Ripley if she hadnt trashed her voice. I'm very glad they didnt go with Douwes tho. I just dont like her voice.

Slap a british accent on Susan Rigvava-Dumas and it would be a done deal.
Listen to her on the Original Vienna Cast. Amazing vocals and a wonderful stern take on the role.
But i think Carolee Carmello will be a wonderful Mrs Danvers aswell.
I'm guessing Don Stephenson will play Ben, which is very similar to Renfield which he played in Wildhorn's DRACULA, the musical...
Anastasia Barzee as I'm guessing Beatrice also just seems wrong. Beatrice is warm to "I," and Barzee in every performance has come off as cold-hearted.
Is it possibly that Barbour is Frank? I mean I think him and Favell are equal parts, but not sure. I would've thought Barbour as Maxim as well, but perhaps they are cautious because he starred as Rochester in Jane Eyre!
I also think Sierra and Carmello are wrong. Sierra is too pretty, the score doesn't seem like something she'd sing, but I still am open to her casting. Carmello just seems wrong, even as a big Carmello fan.
The role was written for Douwes I believe, and am curious as to why it she wouldn't want it to be her big English-break through! Of course this is just a reading! I wonder what Marla Schaffel would do with the role!
