HBO didn't film Caroline, Or Change for broadcast. They shot isolated scenes for the production b-roll, and did not film a complete performance.

There are a few things that you need to understand. Even if HBO did film the show, that doesn't mean that they can release it. In order to do that, they must have the permission of every single person involved with the show. Additionally, they must pay them for their work. HBO may not be able to see a return on investment for this project.

Why don't you first write to the authors and see if they want their work released on DVD.
