Signed! Thank you for that. It's a wonderful show.
Ya know what it is a waste of time! It is a tremendous waste of 20 seconds of your life that won't make a difference but shows you are willing to try. A willingness for anything no matter how simple, complex, acceptable or unacceptable is still a erason to rejoice for independent thought and hope!
No. 112
Hooray we broke 100! See there are at least 100 fans of this show! We beat Prymate!

Okay I was planning to sign it as 214, however it appears that I am already #179! I've forgotten I signed it 2 years ago. And look at what has changed since then...

Number 215. Holla!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You might as well sign a petition for GYPSY starring Ethel Merman to be released on dvd. CAROLINE OR CHANGE was never taped. It doesn't exist. The HBO plans were aborted early in development.
I love this show and would like nothing better for its release, but i'm afraid to say a petition will not work in the slightest. I work in the DVD industry and we get thousands of letters and petitions to release titles.
There are so many things to consider, the main one being clearance from everyone involved. The cost of physically making a DVD is relatively cheap. What is costly is the rights, which you would buy for a few years only, and then have the option to renew if your want.
DVD comapanies also expect a very quick return on their investment, which puts alot of companies off from investing in this type of project.
Sad but true

Hrmm I'd sign but I'd rather see the 1971 Follies on DVD frankly :P
I really don't get this-0-is it rumoured ot be in the vaults somewhere?? I know for a while PBS was said to have filmed Secret Garden (I wish they had) and then it turned out they had only briefly talked about it--in the early 90s

We must take what we can Eric, even though it appears this never was even filmed. And is Follies even in LC archives? Or did Michael Bennett bury them somewhere in the Pacific ocean on some private island so human eyes can never look upon the footage?
