Signature Theatre announced its 2013-2014 schedule which includes 6 musicals and 2 musicals. What do you think?

Emily Skinner would be absolutely perfect as CC Bloom, and she has a relationship with Signature--although if PRINCE OF BROADWAY happens, she wouldn't be able to do it.

I'm excited either way and will be making the trip to Arlington.

It is a very decent season. My problem is I have season tickets this year and they just replaced " Crimes of the Heart" which I was really looking forward to with "The Last Five Years". I' ve seen "The Last Five Years" , I saw the original cast. I Never want to sit through it again. Think they" ll refund my money?

I'm very interested in BEACHES. I wonder if any of the music from the film will be used or if it will be all new music (a la CRY BABY).

BEACHES is going to be an original musical with music and lyrics by Iris Rainer Dart. I'll take that over them trying to milk "The Glory of Love" and "Wind Beneath My Wings" for all they're worth.

I agree AC. I would even go one better. In one scene I would have one of them listening to "Wind Beneath My Wings" playing on the radio and then have the character Bette Midler played come in and turn off the radio saying "God , if I hear that sentimental crap again, I'll kill somebody".

I actually like "Wind Beneath My Wings". It perfectly characterizes the two women in the story. I kind of hope they work it in there somehow.

AC126748, why are you posting false information? The music is by David Austin, not Iris Rainer Dart who wrote the original syrup drenched novel and somehow got herself attached to write book and lyrics here. I don't know why the world needs a Beaches musical, but here it comes, God help us.
