I want to make one thing clear. I like Lea Michele. Very much, so much so I went to see SPRING AWAKENING twice because I liked her so much but lately she's just making all the wrong moves vocally. I'm sure she could have interpreted "Don't Rain on My Parade" much better if she would have just put her own stamp on the song as opposed to singing it as a pale imitation of the greatest interpretation of the song ever sung.
I don't feel bad for Lea Michele at all. I just feel she ruined one of the most exciting songs ever written for a Broadway show. Updated On: 6/15/10 at 10:40 AM
LM is not going to be Fanny Brice if Funny Girl is revived in the next two years. She simply won't have time with two seasons of Glee to film. She's going to have to sign a contract to be on Broadway for at least a full year. If the show still is a hit, she won't be free and if the show goes into a Heroes tailspin, she might not be the draw for ticket sales that the producers want two years hence.
AND this "funny girl" is about as funny as an act of child molestation.
"Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing.”
