Patina Miller and cast members of Sister Act were on The View today---introduced by Whoopie. They performed a number ("Fabulous", I think?----didn't see the show yet---but I have tix)

Saw The View performance. It was ok. Whoopie asked Patina about her reaction to her Tony nomination after the song. They did do Fabulous.

I only remember there being 2 back-up singers in the show. That caught my attention this morning and I thought "There are more back-up singers".

uncageg--I'm glad you said it was "ok". I was not overly impressed with the performance and thought I would be disappointed in the show---but, hopefully, it was not a great representation of the production (and Patina's skills).

By the way it's "Whoopi". Whoopie is possibly a cushion which makes a rude noise but not the famous comedienne

The show is actually fun. Patina sings her butt off but I'm not sure it is a Tony worthy performance. I have only seen Patina and Murphy's performances.

This is a somewhat strange representation of the show. Patina is singing "Fabulous, Baby!" (which is what it's called, btw), while the women behind her appear to be doing a variation of the song's second-act reprise. Nonetheless, Patina sounds great to me, and I just love this song.

Okay, after having watched it a couple of times, I'm not really sure exactly what the backup dancers are doing. It's sort of a combo of the first and second act versions. But that is not what the number looks like in the first of act the show, though it's what it sounds like.

I thought it was good! It'll sell tickets. The best part is the woman in the audience, watching the performance on the left side of the screen, clapping off-beat. Love it.

Does anyone else find Whoopi's Laugh hilarous at the end. I love Patina voice. I hope she has more shows on broadway to come
