Whenever you think it can't get worse, producers find a way.

I'm glad we're continuing down the list of making a musical out of literally anything and everything that's ever existed in the world.

I wasn’t a fan of the movie, but it’s a cute story. Im not sure what audience they’re aiming for though..I’m 25 and I was like super young when the film / book came out. I can’t imagine anyone my age actively wanting to see this since it’s not a big pop culture staple like Mean Girls.

While I’d rather see more original pieces of theater on stage this could be interesting. I guess I’ll know more concrete thoughts once we see casting

Same! Who knows, it may end up like Jawbreaker and never see the light of day.
I know a lot of people don’t like that everything nowadays Is based off of a film, But Broadway has always reflected current culture. It’s just a sign of the times and Broadway changing To reflect that. I ain’t mad at it.

I would think they're going the licensing route with this. I can't imagine this would make it to Broadway. Maybe more the "Freaky Friday" route.

Sigh. Not every movie should become a musical. For the 308382th time.

Don't worry, that seems logistically impossible to ever happen...

This would make sense. It seems like there is always a need for new high school/community theatre shows to license.

Not every movie is becoming a musical.

This is definitely going to be created for teenage "stans." And they'll probably love it.
