Not diva enough?!
Dunno what to say that...how about...

I don't think she belongs in the photo either (what will be her next big musical role, if she's a diva?), but that's pretty harsh, dg2!
wow (*grits teeth into smile* tries to be nice), well you're definatly in the minority defyinggravity2. I think Ave. Q is original and fantastic. Stephanie IS nominated for a Tony and should be on the cover with the others, its just the right thing.
Wow DG2...I'm surprised at the posts you've made today...I don't remember you always being so vicious. If you would at least back up your opinion, fine...but it sounds to me like you are waging war against Avenue Q and everyone involved in it, not just Stephanie, who, talented or not (a STAR in my eyes), does not deserve to be snubbed out of the category in which she has already been nominated.

Hey DG2, when was the last time YOU were in a Broadway show?
***its easy to criticize***
I happen to think she does a FANTASTIC job in Avenue Q, her vocal talent and characterizations are great.
And as for your dig on AQ, that's fine if you don't like it, we're all entitled to our own opinions. But thousands of theatergoers have, in all of it's "college" glory, found it ENTERTAINING,
AND ISN'T THE THEATRE MEANT TO ENTERTAIN?!!
If you're looking for some intellectual, thought-provoking piece of drama....you should know better than to see Avenue Q. Or most musicals for that matter.
Chacun son gout.
I can see the reasoning behind not including Stephanie. She is not a diva at all. Still, I think it would have been smart for Time Out to change the scope of the article to include all the nominated actresses.
I second that. The fact that she's got a puppet on her arm doesn't make her any less of a singer, or an actress (or a diva, for that matter). Just because it isn't your brand of humor doesn't mean that Avenue Q isn't a good show, and you should learn to respect other people's opinions more.
That truly was a terrible thing to say. It is clear you're not a fan of the show or Ms. D'Abruzzo, but now you're just trying to attack her any way you can, and not judging her work. She definitely won't be crying in shame and humiliation, because she has said numerous times that she knows she probably will not win, and that she is just going to have a good time and cheer on the other ladies. You know there are fans of Stephanie and Avenue Q on this board, and you're probably just trying to make us angry. You might want to calm down and think about what you are posting before you say things that just show yourself in a bad light.
DG2 makes Dollypop look like a saint.
And that's saying a lot. Go in the corner and count to ten, DG2. I'll have the Prozac here when you're ready to open your mouth without spewing garbage.
She HAS been on a cover of a magazine. Dramatics magazine did a feature story on her. Of course, I am sure you are going to complain and say it is a stupid magazine or some crap like that. As for your attitude, I don't even have to say anything. You have made yourself look like an idiot by your last few posts. My guess is DG2 doesn't get enough attention from her parents so she is lashing out to get some here.
it's my understanding that the article was supossed to be about kristin and idina only- then, as part of the tony campaign and to counter-act the damage done by mike reidel- donna's agent/manager/somebody else maganged to convince time out to put her in it. how tonya got it in i don't know, but i do know that it was originally supossed to just be the wicked girls and that donna was tacked on towards the end. i agree in that they should have changed the scope of the article to be about the nominated women and not just divas- it's sort of like saying "our article is going to be about the nominated ladies with brown hair" or something. d'abruzzo isn't a diva, though- and i like her that way!
peace dawg
Gravity
Let me guess you have money tied to Wicked?
You are in the minority here.
I liked Wicked very much. It is not important who wins Avenue Q has recouped it's investment and the entire cast are incredible.
If you don't appreciate the show that is your opinion but others love it.
You do belong with the Wicked.

The screen name says it all but wow! Someone is bitter. Personally I am hoping Stephanie wins on Sunday and we can see you crying in shame and humiliation.
If WICKED weren't there, AVENUE Q would be by far my favorite show on Broadway (that I've seen). It's histerical, it's completely creative, and the casts (and understudies) are amazing! What I'd look for in a singer, you can't find in AVENUE Q b/c they have to be puppet voices. Yet, Stephanie makes "There's a Fine, Fine Line" beautiful. Her acting is impecible, and while I think the TONY should go to Idina or Kristin, Stephanie is amazing and in any other year...DG2, people might respect what you say if you give us something specific. People don't like that I think Kristin's technique is often better than Idina's, but I get PMs asking me questions about how they should be singing b/c I make it clear that I have a basis for my opinions. We all respect people here, but you can't expect us to respect blatant attacks. Seriously, everyone is right, you try playing Kate and Lucy one night, then tell me that what Stephanie does is easy...
well IF tonya was added in last minute they should have added in stephnie. I have yet to see Ave Q. (plan 2 this summer) yet i have heard nothing but praise about this woman. Who is it to say who is a diva or not. look at the 'Deborah' thread that is now on page 17, i think at least 3 of them were devoted to what qualifies a person as a superstar. She should have been in the picture/article.

haha oh DG2, you sort of make me laugh.
Of course I've never been in a Broadway show silly :p, but I'm not on this thing cutting up actresses who have made it big based on their talent alone.
Like I said, it's easy to criticize. I know I couldn't do as good a job as she does in Avenue Q.....why would I criticize her?
I think she's fantastic. That's my personal opinion. If you don't like her, that's fine.
But honey....
calm down. Wow.
I just can't see why someone would resort to name calling.
Hey, some tap water is actually pretty good.
I would like to know exactly what the criteria for "broadway caliber" is because, to my knowledge, Avenue Q has not shown anything less than broadway caliber performances each and every time I've had the pleasure to see it.
Oh, and for all the Wicked fans out there who say they have a bad rep for no reason, I think this thread has given you someone to thank for it. It just takes one person to turn everyone off to something. There's one in every group sadly.

I think it's obvious that DefyingGravity2 is a moron.
Anyone bashing Avenue Q to the extent of holding up Wicked to such high standards and acclaim is clearly a mess. (And I like Wicked).
Will Wicked win more Tony awards than Q? Sure. Does that mean DG2's point is proven? Not in the least.
And to be as harsh as to call a piece of theatre an abortion is not only tacky but shows a complete lack of class.
Congratulations, DG2, you've officially made Mr. Roxy look like a good person!
there is something oddly desperate anout those posts. she cant be THAT obnoxious and stupid...
can she?

It looks like we're all missing something here.
DefyingGravity2's posts were removed, and thank god.
He/She made some overly harsh comments about Avenue Q that went beyond opinion, and even beyond trashing the show and its actors.
It's best it was removed.
Oh, my response was too. I guess I was a little harsh but DG2's posts were completely uncalled for.
Well at least it was recognized to be awful and removal-worthy

UGH! Why didn't someone tell me there was controversy in this thread? Sorry I missed it.
