Hi!
I just had a few questions about people who have rushed for these shows:
Fiddler
The Color Purple
and Noises Off
Where have your seats been? and what time did you get there or would you suggest getting there?

Fiddler:
Seats were in the rear balcony. Very far away from the stage. Bring binoculars. I got there at 9-ish, there were some people in front of me, but I got a ticket just fine.
Color Purple:
Box seats. Not sure what it's like now, but when I went in November it was a crowded rush. Get there early for sure (hopefully someone else can give more current and specific info)

All of this info is already on the boards. Color Purple get there 2 hours before weekdays, 3 on weekends and seats could be anywhere on the sides. They also do Standing Room.
Noises Off sells Hiptix in advance and will sell any left over rear mezz seats on the day of. 30 minutes to an hour before opening is more than enough time for that.
Fiddler someone was able to get a front mezz seat right before the show but that may have changed since the reviews came out. Getting there an hour early on weekdays and 2 hours on weekends should guarantee you'll get tix.

I would not take a seat in the rear mezz of the Broadway theater unless it was free. Even the front of the rear mezz is farther away than most, if not all, Broadway balconies. If you live here and can hold out for a better seat, I would.

I rushed The Color Purple on a Saturday for the evening show. Got my ticket around 2 and it turned out to be the last seat on the aisle of the second row in the front mezzanine. View was great, but I literary couldn't keep my feet in front of me because of the unexistent leg space.

Fiddler... Went around 6 PM for an 8 PM performance (during previews). Got front row orchestra far right. Enjoyed being close to the actors but wasn't able to take in some of those amazing tableaus that were created. Noises Off got through Hiptix gold. Definitely worth the $75 as they offer a presage for all productions. Always grab the same seats which are 3rd/4th row orchestra, off to the sides. Color Purple - Went early in the morning during previews and was given box which was super comfy and didn't miss any of the stage.

I'm also curious if Purple is still incredibly crowded. Going to rush for a Wednesday matinee in a few weeks and was planning on getting there around 8 or so.

There are separate topics for the rushes of each of these shows with recent reports. It makes so sense to discuss these in new topics and will make it confusing for other people to have reports in 2 separate topics, so please go there to read about them. I mean this kindly, and I see that your new here. There is a search function on this board, so you can just search and check if there already is a topic for whatever information you looking for. There mostly is, especially with rush reports :)

One quick thing about Noises Off that I don't think is mentioned in the topic. It's general Roundabout policy that rush tickets are rear mezz only (which is fine, the American Airlines is not that big), and they do not reserve tickets for rush. If the show is (almost) sold out for a particular performance, there will not be a rush at all. Typically they put a sign the evening before though, so at least you know when you get to the theater & don't have to wait until the BO opens to find out (that's what the did for On The 20th, I think). They also have a student rush that's 50% whatever they have left 30 min before curtain. With some luck you can get a box seat for $30 that way, otherwise it's pretty expensive for a rush... GR is 2 per person, SR is one per student ID and they check and are strict about it.
