Yes, Catherine Zeta-Jones was asked to audition for Pepa, I just wished they had gone the Salma Hayek way :-/
I thought we would get news about the cast sooner than we have, I bet they are going to assemble an amazing group of women. Is Brian Stokes Mitchell a go for this by the way? He was the last name I heard mentioned, how I wish Paulo Szot had been cast.
I doubt Jessica Biel is gonna do this, as I said in another thread it seems she thought it might not be wise to take a break from making such brilliant gems as THE A-TEAM, I NOW PRONOUNCE YOU CHUCK AND LARRY, et al.

If I remember correctly the reason why Patti passed orginally was because she was planning on that sitcome getting picked up and wouldn't have been available between filming that and making the rounds to promote the new book this fall- maybe now that even if she is filming something for HBO it will be in NYC she realizes its too good of an opportunity to pass.

Givesmevoice- I love that picture- Elena looks half happpy/half terrified about what could happen next- where was that picture taken and when?

I could be wrong, but the Pone is not a "supporting" kind of gal.
I keep hearing Danny Burstein's name being bantied about, I don't remember the movie well enough, is there a role for him?
Musto's dish is always fun, but sometimes a little late due to publishing schedules.

Danny Burstein? I haven't seen the movie in a while but the most prominent male role I remember is the role played by Antonio Banderas who's the son of Pepa's lover. Burstein is too old for that part, I also doubt they went from leading men Paulo Szot and Brian Stokes Mitchell to character actor Burstein for the main male role.

That's what I thought, I was thinking there was a character role for Danny.
But Stokes is 52, is that the right age?
