Someone on WoO, who worked on the "August" stage managing team in London, said that some of the OBC will return next month. I don't know if its true but.....
The article announcing Elizabeth Ashley's casting mentioned this. I think it's only a couple of OBC members.

I'm pretty sure Rondi Reed is going back to Morrible in NY, but I have no idea when that's supposed to be.
Ashely is playing Reed's part, so that's not happening.
Sally Murphy is returning.
Rondi Reed is doing 6 months as Madame Morrible in Wicked sometime this spring.
Per Playbill:
Kimberly Guerrero, Brian Kerwin, Michael McGuire, Marian Mayberry, Sally Murphy, and Troy West are all returning.

Next to Amy Morton, Marian Mayberry is my favorite!
I'm thrilled she's returning.
I may have to catch Amy Warren before she leaves, though. I did thoroughly enjoy her performance in ADDING MACHINE.
Did Brian Kerwin ever actually leave, though? I saw the show two days ago and he was there.
And Foster, I didn't see Amy Warren in Adding Machine, but she's nothing special in A:OC.
I don't think Kerwin left because he was replaced in the London cast by Gary Cole, I believe. Plus, isn't he on a soap opera that tapes in NY?
Kerwin never left. The article was simply saying Ashley was joining OBC members blah blah blah and he's an OBC who will be there when she joins the cast.

I really want to see this show, but should I see it now, or wait until some of the OBC return next month?
I've actually wondered about how they cast Steve. It seems he's been re-cast every time a new company comes along. Is it because of the Jean-Steve dynamic and how much trust/safety, etc. is involved?
I think the re-casting of Steve is just coincidental. The actor in the original Chicago production didn't want to uproot his life and come to NY, and Brian Kerwin has a part on One Life to Live and couldn't go to London.

Cole is here in London in Kerwin's role. He's arguably the most recognizable-to-the-public member of the London cast.
Wait until the OBC return. Sally Murphy and Mariann Mayberry are exceptional.
