Hey everyone,
I need to find an up tempo musical theatre song about working a job (an kind of job. More about working in general vs a song specifically about being a waitress or something). I've already looked up the show "Working" and "Ragtime", but my teacher things that they are too slow. Can anyone help me out? I'd love you forever.
"I Hope I Get It" from A Chorus Line. Best I can do.

Hmm.. "All the Livelong Day" from Working is actually pretty up tempo. Although it's an ensemble number. I don't know if you need a solo.
"The Company Way" from How to Succeed.
"Opening Up" from Waitress

'9 to 5' was the first thing that came to my mind as well. It's the anthem of the blue collar office worker.
"Racing With the Clock" from Pajama Game.
"I Put My Hand In" from Hello Dolly!
Really, you have the whole score from Working to choose from. Some favorites:
There's also the two new songs by Lin-Manuel Miranda out there somewhere that he wrote for the Old Globe production in 2009.
i love It's an Art from Working
