Hey flirt, I think you are referring to "Could I leave You?" from Follies. It is sung by a late-middle ager. jason
" I wish that the stage were as narrow as a tightrope wire, so that no incompetent would dare step upon it." -- Goethe (he wants you to go to my Myspace page www.myspace.com/jasonklemm
"Memory" although, don't you think this could be sung by a guy? Its not gender specific at all, except that is a rather famous song. Also, "Movie in my Mind" and "The Light in the Piazza" and of course "Defying Gravity" and "Wizard and I."
I can't believe I forgot to mention "Out Tonight." The many karaoke patrons who've witnessed my drunken rendition would be upset if they knew I forgot it.
"How do you like THAT 'misanthropic panache,' Mr. Goldstone?" - PalJoey
"Pity the Child" from Chess "Agony" from Into the Woods "If I Didn't Believe in You" from The Last 5 Years "She Cries" from Songs for a New World "All I Care About" from Chicago "One Song Glory" from Rent
There are probably more, but those are songs that I'd really love to sing without having to change around notes.
Defying Gravity ~ Wicked The Wizard and I ~ Wicked Every Story is A Love Story ~ Aida You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown ~ "" Think of Me ~ Phantom My New Philosophy ~ YAMCB Everything's Alright ~ JCS A Pharoah Story ~ Joseph and the Amazing... La Vie Boheme ~ Rent Over the Moon ~ Rent Lullaby of Broadway ~ 42nd Street
Kristin Chenoweth could barely control a Great Dane she trotted onto the stage. "Great, they gave me a dog that weighs five times what I do", she quipped. For the record, she weighs 93 pounds, and has a Maltese.
Johanna - Sweeney Todd Maria - West Side Story Pretty Women - Sweeney Todd
there are probably more but i can't remember at the moment
We cannot know what will occur/Just make our journey worth the taking/And pray we're wiser then we were/In the beginning" ~Children of Eden
"Risk is everything" ~The Light in the Piazza
"I can just see us now in our bathing dresses...you in a nice navy and me? Stripes perhaps." ~Sweeney Todd

Giants in the Sky. i actually sent a text to my friend lindsay just yesterday "id have a sex change to sing giants" how ironic that this thread would show up lol
"No two shows are alike in the making. Each show is a living
piece of your life in a small unreal world with its own character
and integrity; its own new set of memorable experiences and
incredible happenings. You begin to love and adapt to its strangeness.
Dreams harden into substance. Values come into focus. You wish
it would never end. The dream world vanishes like mist before a
rising sun; part of you vanishes with it. And back you land in the
real world with a thud- fogged, uneasy, jittery, difficult to get
along with. There is only one cure. A new show. A new, small
unreal world; new visions, experiences, incredible happenings.
Again you love it, adapt to it, wish it would never end.
But end it does. Another part of you vanishes.
That's show business."-Anonymous

Back, he spurred like a madman, shrieking a curse to the sky. With the white road smoking behind him and his rapier brandished high! Blood-red were the spurs i' the golden noon; wine-red was his velvet coat, when they shot him down on the highway, down like a dog on the highway, and he lay in his blood on the highway, with the bunch of lace at his throat...
(The Highwayman. Sung by: Loreena McKennitt)
