Songs from musicals that make you cry...

I have a few, including "Il Adore" from Taboo and "Tell Me It's Not True" from Blood Brothers
What about yours?
Or you could list songs that make you cry because they're awful...on second thought that might be more fun
Please, don't let me be normal!

Stars from Les Mis (yes, it's written for a guy but I've performed it and the words are just so poetic and gorgeous)
All I Ask of You from Phantom of the Opera
Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again from Phantom of the Opera (my first solo)
Maybe I Like It from The Wild Party

Some things are meant to be - Little Women. Actually I've never cried listening to it, only when I saw the show.

Some of the songs from "Side Show" make me cry because they hurt my ears. like "tunnel of love"
people on broadwayworld.com can be rude and scary

The Music of the Night- The Phantom of the Opera
On My Own, I Dreamed a Dream, Empty Chairs at Empty Tables, Finale- Les Miz
I'm Not that Girl- Wicked
Love to Me- Light in the Piazza (it's not sad, it's very sweet, though)
the beginning of Endless Night- Lion King

There are several others, but these are the primary ones.

See Me from Bare pops into mind because I can identify with it. It's one of my favorites actually. Michael Arden sings it with such emotion.

There's more, but that's off the top of my head. No One Is Alone makes me bawl everytime I hear it. Never fails to produce tears streaming down my face.

"How Glory Goes" from Floyd Collins
"Way Back to Then" from [title of show]
"I Could Write Books/Do You Know What It's Like" from Zanna, Don't!

There are countless others, but my brain is mush at 3:46pm on a Friday.
There are some people in the world who say that writing stories, or composing music or dancing sparkly dances is easy for them. Nothing interferes with their ability to create. While I celebrate their creative freedom, a little part of me just wants to punch those motherf*ckers in the teeth...[tos]

I guess it's hokey to say it, but when Billy Bigelow sings the reprise of If I Love You in the second act of Carousel (after he's dead), I've seen grown men bawl like babies.

I second those who have mentioned the reprise of "I'll Cover You" (Rent) and "Left Behind" (Spring Awakening).

I'll add "A Little Fall of Rain" from Les Miz.

And I'd heard Defying Gravity a million times before I actually saw Wicked, but for some reason when I saw the show and Elphie said, "Take a message back from me," I teared up.

What Would I Do - Falsettos (This makes me bawl for the loss and sadness. Last time I saw the show it seemed almost everyone in the theatre was in tears)

My Heart is So Full of You - The Most Happy Fella (Probably the most romantic scene in musical theatre.)
