Thank-U, folkyboy----I noticed that David Lai is one of the producers---he's the current conductor of the Phantom orchestra--he's amazing. (He's also Davis Gaines' pianist, if I'm not mistaken)
I haven't seen this production yet (have tickets for this summer), but the video clips I've seen have made me think that an album by this company might be very good.

Posted: 5/18/08 at 5:30pmThe CD is on sale at Lincoln Center now. I saw the show yesterday and bought it. Patience has never been my strength. It sounds fabulous.

KChenowethfan, you are the first (that I've read) to say anything about the recording.
What are the strong numbers? Anything else special?

just bought it. On the first run through.
It is so luciously orchestral. 30 pieces really makes a difference.
I hope other shows take note.
The final note of "Dames" is STUNNING.
