I searched but couldn't find if this topic has been posted---but does anyone know if they'll be a recording of the current South Pacific revival?

Thank-U, folkyboy----I noticed that David Lai is one of the producers---he's the current conductor of the Phantom orchestra--he's amazing. (He's also Davis Gaines' pianist, if I'm not mistaken)
I haven't seen this production yet (have tickets for this summer), but the video clips I've seen have made me think that an album by this company might be very good.
The CD is on sale at Lincoln Center now. I saw the show yesterday and bought it. Patience has never been my strength. It sounds fabulous.
It was a pre-order of 9.99 on amazon.com. Not sure if that price is still valid...

Its $25 at the theatre for those of you (like me) who could not wait.

KChenowethfan, you are the first (that I've read) to say anything about the recording.
What are the strong numbers? Anything else special?
I really enjoyed A Wonderful Guy and Some Enchanted Evening. Its a very well produced and well sung recording all around.
Did they record the Act 1 Finale for the disc?
Yes.
I like the concert CD better. All the songs on the revival CD are way under tempo.
For those interested Amazon now has clips avaialble of the new recording along with the aforementioned video!!!
It's wonderful!
I've listened to it at least 20 times through already.
Obviously nothing can compare to hearing it live, but the CD is gorgeous. I'm listening to it now. I must find a way to see this show again. Soon.

If I pre-ordered it at the theater, when can I expect to receive it?
Yup and I already have it!!! and if you were nice to me, you would have got it a week ago!
(just kiddin')

Does anyone have the link to the preview page they did with clips and a video of the recording? Not the Amazon page...it was on another website? Thanks.
just bought it. On the first run through.
It is so luciously orchestral. 30 pieces really makes a difference.
I hope other shows take note.
The final note of "Dames" is STUNNING.
