Thank-U, folkyboy----I noticed that David Lai is one of the producers---he's the current conductor of the Phantom orchestra--he's amazing. (He's also Davis Gaines' pianist, if I'm not mistaken)
I haven't seen this production yet (have tickets for this summer), but the video clips I've seen have made me think that an album by this company might be very good.

KChenowethfan, you are the first (that I've read) to say anything about the recording.
What are the strong numbers? Anything else special?

Posted: 5/18/08 at 7:18pmI really enjoyed A Wonderful Guy and Some Enchanted Evening. Its a very well produced and well sung recording all around.

Posted: 5/19/08 at 12:28amI like the concert CD better. All the songs on the revival CD are way under tempo.

It's wonderful!
I've listened to it at least 20 times through already.

Posted: 5/21/08 at 11:42amObviously nothing can compare to hearing it live, but the CD is gorgeous. I'm listening to it now. I must find a way to see this show again. Soon.

just bought it. On the first run through.
It is so luciously orchestral. 30 pieces really makes a difference.
I hope other shows take note.
The final note of "Dames" is STUNNING.
