Anyone know the status of it? Are the Weislers still producing? Is the project dead?
I hope so; I think it sounds like a ridiculous, campy, terrible idea.
I really hope that it never happens.

Haha!!! I totally forgot all about that! I sure hope it never happens because it would be a terrible idea. Just because Trump is rich, doesn't mean he should take over everything. He should stay away from Broadway!!
i secretly kinda wanna see this happen, with gregg edelman as trump
It was fayid.

It is still in development, so, as of now, YES, it is happening.
Edelman as Trump is GOLD.
I would pay to see that.
The Donald, after learning he would not play the lead, said "You're Fired" to the creative team
I would love to have seen a striptease number from Carolyn & George
It has a chance to be real campy fun.
Or it could be a total wreck.
Hopefully the Weisslers and Trump go down the right path with this.
It NEEDS an Omarosa character.

yupp, it's still on tv.
hahahaha...is this idea a joke?
An Omarosa character would be funny..but on SNL, not broadway.
This is not a joke. Trump is developing it with the Weisslers.
I want it to happen just so I can watch as NY theater critics tear it to shreds.
I don't see how this is going to work on Broadway.
What ever happened to THE REAL WORLD musical?

Were writers ever hired for this project? And, if so, has anyone heard any of the songs? I'm oddly curious given the political moment.
The show had a nat'l bus-and-truck tour throughout 2016 to mixed reviews. However, its investors are determined to make it recoup, so they're currently mounting a fully-realized, site-specific production in the White House over in DC. Open-ended run, at least for a few years. The critics are already tearing it apart and ticket sales for opening night were pretty abysmal. We'll see what happens next.

I've only heard of one song so far. It's right after the main character goes on a rant about people reviving 11 year old threads. The title of the song is "SAD!".
Will Jennifer Holliday play Omarosa? Or will someone explain things to her first?
