Spring Awakening National Tour CD

The tour section on the Wiki page for Spring Awakening emntions an internet rumour concerning a recording of the current National Tour Cast. Anybody heard any of this? I know it's Wikipedia but thought it might be worth an ask!

Um, no.

Tons of high profile 1st US National Tours never had a cast recording made. This one won't either.

NOTE: The 1st US National Tour of SUNSET BLVD. did have a 3-track CD recorded (with Linda Balgord and Ron Bohmer), but it was only for promotional purposes and given to the audience attending the tour's premiere only -- it was never sold in any of the theatres in the tour's stops.

I know that they were in a recording studio recording stuff from the show. But I don't know why or for what reason. This may be where the rumors started.

Mine was sent by Ticketmaster for the show's Chicago engagement (where it closed on the road). I assume it was only sent to people who purchased through ticketmaster.

Psh, a recording won't happen for the tour of Spring Awakening. Not an official one, at least.

IDK, maybe they're talking about their performance at the Apple store in LA? It was recorded and everything like the Soho event with Hunter Parrish, John Gallagher Jr. and such...

Some people who were there for the LA event said it might be sold in the iTunes store, but it's a strong *might*.

I received the Sunset sampler at the Aronoff Center box office in Cincinnati, one of the few stops before that tour folded.
