The line currently is wrapped across 45th to Times Square and around to 46th. 10 minutes before curtain. Woof.
I imagine most people are still outside because the theatre is basically empty in the orchestra. Oof. Hopefully the show starts by 8! LOL
Well, it’s 7pm. Have been under the Music Box marquee for over half an hour. Truly no idea what’s going on!

Messaged you, outside the Imperial right now!
This is absolutely insane. The orchestra is about 40% full at 7:30. This is so disorganized and ridiculous.
Not to pile on here (and it solves nothing), but it’s 7:34 and I’m still all the way down the block on Broadway. Why they didn’t offer digital tickets is beyond me. It’s 42 and feels like 36 out here. Ridiculous.

It’s INCREDIBLY ridiculous and disorganized. They had 3 people handing out tickets when I got mine.
They haven’t said a WORD to us inside the theatre.

Now there is an argument between a rude man and a woman who will not move who is in his seat. We finally have a show!
Nearly 8pm. No announcement from the house manager. This is shameful. Still super excited but god, this is ridiculous.
Absolute free for all in the mezzanine. They just told everyone to go in. Did not give anyone tickets and said to sit wherever you want
Total chaos. They opened the mezzanine as general admission to get everyone in. Not honoring anyone’s seats. Theoretically, I could kick someone out of my seat, but like… what the actual hell.
Convinced this is never going to happen lol

It will be the 20th anniversary before this ever begins.
Jesus Christ… this sounds like a sh*t show.

Whaaaaaat?

Were all the mezzanine seats priced the same? With the prices I saw on some of those tickets, I would be livid if I didn't get to sit in the seat I paid for.
Intermission. This is something incredible. The cast sounds better than they did 15 years ago. What a treat this is!
Intermission. This was worth every bit of frustration with buying tickets and getting in and finding a seat not too far from my actual seat. The cast sounds absolutely perfect and they’re even busting out the choreography. Jonathan Groff has never sold that “Mirror Blue Night” choreo better.
Damn, I love this show.

Between the people who have been wearing out their kneepads for days begging for a ticket to this thing, and the ones who have tickets now throwing sissyfits -- this thread is shaping up to be WAY more entertaining than Spring Awakening ever was!

I wouldn’t say anyone is throwing a “hissyfit.” Things happen but there should have been an announcement or something.
But yes, this is a really lovely evening.

Ok, I’ll do my best in the next few minutes to describe what happened on that line:
Got there around 6:15, made very little progress over the next hour and 15 minutes or so. At that point they had 2 lines: 1 for orchestra and 1 for mezzanine. They then had someone go down the line asking who had front mezzanine tickets and she was distributing those as they let in the orchestra folks along with the front mezz people. I have a rear mezz seat and I (and everyone around me) was growing more and more irritated that the line kept moving and we were just standing out there in the cold with no reasoning or announcement. Right around 8 they finally let in the rear mezz people and then it was a full free for all “take whatever seat you want”. There were definitely open front mezz seats when I walked in (I stayed in my purchased seat… damn conscience!). It started around 8:10.
Oh! And I guess there’s a show too… it’s very good! I am still trying to warm up though, was not expecting to be outside for close to 2 hours!
