Caroline - I don't know. Certainly not me. When they have people like Fergie performing on it, how could one care?
But if we really were to look at this category appropriately, there is no way Spring Awakening would have came out with the win. Plain and simple.
Also, when someone is simply pointing out a great [studio] production of Sondheim's being snubbed - why are they all of a sudden [Sondheim] elitists? I can respect people who love Spring Awakening, I can. To each their own, yeah? But jumping on the accusations of being 'elitist' is just a quick and easy defense to make themselves appear less stubborn.
