I suprised, I thought the whole point of the lyric was to see how England responded to this show, I thought they not make a west end decision until after the lyric run!

I cant see London taking to this but i wish it good luck. It was touch and go weather they took such a big theatre so i guess they are confident.

Im really pleased for it, i think if it gets the right advertising and the right ticket price it could really be quite sucessful! Good Luck SA :)

I agree with CONAries, would've at least expected this to announce a transfer after its run at the Lyric, if any. Well best of luck to it. It's a wonderful show and hope it takes to the UK :) Now for my first reaction to this news...ARGHHHHH!!

just like to say not confirmed yet, altho thats what we last heard we were getting... my boss is fretting cause she wants to book her holiday but nothings been said about whats next and when...
i am quite open for a musical of any kind, being able to talk and not creap around during showtime would be a godsend.... i love RSC but its too damn quiet!!!!

The Novello is a huge house, capacity wise and stage size compared to Hammersmith. The capacity is double that of the Lyric (500 and 1000) and the stage is also very small. I guess they are planning an almost complete refit before taking to the stage of the Novello.

I'm not sure how much the refitting was when they moved from Off Broadway to Broadway, but it's a static set that's pretty easy to scale against.

I always though SA Off Broadway was very minimilist, and had a bit of a makeover for Broadway. Wasn't it the stage set in the centre of 4 audience blocks? One each side of a square stage? Please correct me if im wrong.
