Spring Awakening, does it sell out?

An acquaintance of mine is visiting NYC, I recommended him to see Spring Awakening, since he likes "rock n'roll" musicals like Rent, so he called me 2 minutes after we talked and told me Spring Awakening was sold out on Saturday(night) and on Sunday, and that he is going to see Talk Radio instead. Is this true that it sells out, or he just doesn't want to see the show? He told me he didn't like the name of the show, and it's kinda physically imposible to be where he was and get to the Eugene O'Neill theatre in 2 minutes. Also he said they didn't even have SRO available.

Posted: 4/14/07 at 10:11pmIt's entirely possible there was no SRO, because the rush line was insane. I would imagine that some of those people did not get tickets and bought SRO instead.

Posted: 4/14/07 at 10:16pmIt actually does sell out - I was at the box office earlier this evening with a friend of mine who was trying to get tickets for one of his clients - all three dates he was trying for in May were sold out.

I also came up against some sold out dates when I tried to purchase tix for dates in May.
But for an SA addict like me that was good news for the show!
