#1Stage Door on Tony’s day outlook?

I have heard that often times, on the day of the Tony’s, a lot of the normal cast performs , sort of to show people wh9 may win the Tony’s. What I was wondering was whether or not you guys thought actors will still come to the stage door on that day. Would a lot of actors opt to skip the stage door to get ready for the Tony’s? For reference this is a show that starts at about 2 this Sunday and should be about 2 hours 30 minutes long

If it's one of this season's shows that will be at the Tonys, then I doubt many (if any) cast will stage door. Even if they can physically get to the ceremony location in time, they need to get their hair done, get dressed, etc.

Not sure why you think they are performing on that day to show the audience who may win that night (as opposed to it being just their job?), but we'll forget that part... my biggest issue going to NYC on Tony weekend was the amount of people calling out. Basically, anyone major who sang on the broadcast called out of my shows the Saturday before, since they probably wanted to be in good voice for the broadcast? So, I would worry more about how many slips of paper you may get, rather than the stage door. Since the stage door is easy to figure out, since you just stand there and they either sign, or not. They either run by, or not. So, it sorts itself out...

Posted: 6/5/19 at 12:48amI saw Spamalot the day of the Tonys that year and that was in my stage dooring days. We saw Eric Idle going in beforehand, which was exciting and he stopped for a picture. Afterwards only Steve Rosen and Darlene Wilson (who was going on for Sara Ramirez that week) came out and signed at the stage door.

It actually is Be More Chill. I was kind of avoiding saying it because I didn't want the insults for going to see it. (Please just let me live my life) I figured since the only award they were nominated for is not a whole cast one then I may have a chance at the stage door.
