Stephanie J. Block - Stage Door Question?

Hey Everyone,
I just have a quick question, and yes I did search this and found a thread on it and tried to open it but it wouldn't work. So here is my question...Im going to see SJB on Jan. 12th at the matinee...I know 2 day shows are really tight for them but has anyone been to a matinee on a 2 day show and seen SJB come out the stagedoor? I really would love to meet her again, I just think she is the most talented woman on broadway right now! Any info would be greatly appreciated! Have a great day! :)

This probably won't help you at all, but I just wanted to say that she is really really sweet and enthusiastic..not to mention extremely talented. I was there at night. I don't even know how it works for matinee because I have never seen a matinee show before.

Thanks volleyballer for the info...

VeryNewYorkCurious....I completely agree with you, stephanie is just amazing. I went to see her on dec 12 and it was freezing outside but she stayed and talked with the 5 people that were there. It was so great to see her and her husband sebastian joking around and stuff

re: Stephanie J. Block - Stage Door Question?

I've never stage doored for Stephanie specifically for a matinee show, but my guess would be she would come out. I've only ever heard of her not coming out the stage door twice (once was the closing of Pirate Queen and the other was when she got hurt). Stephanie is the most gracious person to her fans I have ever met, and I would imagine she would come out between shows, unless of course something else came up.

re: Stephanie J. Block - Stage Door Question?

She occasionally didn't come out after the matinee on two-show days with PQ because she was resting. Seems like a smart thing for any performer if he/she is under the weather or exhausted--not sure who comes out for Wicked matinees.

re: Stephanie J. Block - Stage Door Question?

Neither Steph nor Sebastian came out after the Wednesday matinee on December 12th. That was just one specific date though...don't know if this is a common occurance.

Stephanie also didn't come out for Wednesday matinee on December 19. She still could come out though when you see the show. I really hope you get to see her!

I think we can all fill in the blank here.

re: Stephanie J. Block - Stage Door Question?

it's gonna suck if she doesn't come out when I go January 30th on the matinee if she doesn't come out because she didn't come out for the Pirate Queen when I went because it was the closing re: Stephanie J. Block - Stage Door Question? Oh well, seeing her is good enough for me.

re: Stephanie J. Block - Stage Door Question?

You could maybe try pre-stage dooring. I dont know how Stephanie is with that now but she was cool on tour. If you get there early enough she should def be coming in and she most likely would stop. She is very gracious to her fans

re: Stephanie J. Block - Stage Door Question?

For the most part recently with the cold and more two show days over the holiday, she's not been coming out after matinee shows of Wicked. Can't blame the girl for resting her voice and her body after such a vocally demanding show. It's getting really cold in NYC so don't be too discouraged if she rushes or asks for everyone to have cameras ready and such. I saw her Saturday after the evening show and while she was adorable as always and seemed as though she wanted to stay to chat a bit longer she gave us all quick hugs after pictures and said she had to rush due to the cold. But, yea, I don't think she's coming out much if at all after matinees.

Lately she's been really quick in the stage door. Like last wendesday, she just quickly signed and smiled for pictures and went back in. I think it was really nice of her to even come out considering it was freezing last Wednesday.
