New York Theater’s (DC Theatre Scene) mini-review seems positive:

Here’s the full review. After reading it, for the first time I want to see it:

That nj.com review is enraging to me. A willful misunderstanding of the show. Sadly, I suspect we will see more where that came from. I loved it. I’ll cross fingers these don’t go the way I fear they may.

Not the first time a show with a NYT mixed review yielded A Critic’s Pick.

4/5 stars from The Guardian

“A subversive look at masculinity boasts canny, self-aware performances and a shrewd dissection of gender roles”

I must be missing the discussion thread for this show. I know there's a thread about an incident, with a little discussion about the play . . .

Saw this Saturday. Thought that the acting was fine, the relationships seemed real, and the story hit us extremely weak. The concept that added the two "Persons in Charge" to (literally) frame the story felt like a last minute attempt to salvage the writing of a show that couldn't stand on its own, but could be sold as some sort of exhibit instead.
