Second this! Though I'm not a Beyonce fan either, I did think her version of The Way We Were was touching. Idina will never be a good singer to me...very harsh on the ears. I also much prefer Linda Eder, but do think her performance there would have over shadowed the honoree. Idina, however, made Streisand look great.
Very dissappointing that Queen Latifah didn't sing anything...who knew she was a Streisand fan!

For all we know the look on her face could have been caused by trying not to pass gas. I love all these interpretations of what someone was thinking, based on a 2 second flash of someone's face.

Streisand is pretty giving to steel-throated singers -- picked Celine to sing in her absence, famously. I have to believe she approved of this gifted girl from Long Island. Or at the very least was neutral.
