NO! One change:
Tessie: Cher

You know what, this will sound completely out of left field, but I'm gonna throw Faith Dane in the pool. Why not? It's either this or she runs for office in D.C. one more time. And she complains that she didn't get cast every time there's a revival.
I bet Faith Prince still remembers her choreography.

I'd guess that Streisand's "Gypsy" would cut the stripper number. "There's only one star in a Helen Lawson show and that's me, baby."

Yes I now these women are much older than normally played, but I think that adds to the humor of it. I would have all three done up in very heavy makeup like they're still trying to makeup as if they were 25. It's almost a "Bette Davis in Baby Jane" effect.

I think it would be HIGH-larious if they had the past thre Mama Rose's
Tyne, Bernadette and Patti.
No offense, but can we PLEASE stop calling her Mama Rose? Her character in the show is Rose or Madam Rose. Arthur will thank you.
Or at least he won't tell you to fcuk off.
He doesnt much care what you call her anymore, you know...since he's dead.

As far as the character's proper name, let's not forget something: Rose and Madame Rose are characters in Gypsy, fictionalized versions of a real woman.
"Mama Rose," however, is more than just a popular nickname for the character, it is an instantly recognized cultural symbol that, thanks to the popularity of the show and the various movies, has passed outside the theatre world. It seems rather silly now to debate whether or not the character can be addressed as such.

JRybka,
That was why I originally posted those three names. It would be hilarious, a delightful wink and a wonderful commentary.
To your 'last three Mama Roses' comment, I only offer one correction, technically speaking, Linda Lavin should replace Tyne on your roster as she replaced Tyne in that revival. Since neither could play a stripper her, I decided that Maureen Moore, Bernadette's always reliable stand-by for her revival, should take the mantle.

Considering the age of the proposed Rose, I'd say they are age-appropriate.
Tessie: Susan Sarandon
Mazeppa: Rosanne
Elektra: Kristin Wiig
I'd vote for:
Tessie - Bernadette Peters
Mazeppa - Patti LuPone
Electra - Betty Buckley
Though my boyfriend just suggested Jennifer Tilly, Tracey Ullman, and Helena Bonham Carter. I wouldn't have a problem with any of those.
I like the idea of Harvey as one of them, gotta say.
Tessie: Maureen O'Hara
Mazeppa: Esther Williams
Electra: Doris Day
In Rose's Turn, she refers to herself as "Mama" countless times in succession. Hence...Mama Rose. It's not a stretch and no offense has been committed.
