Has anyone joined the now paid-service Will Call Club of Studentrush.org? Does it have any offerings worth the new fee?
Thanks.

No it mostly just has a lot of crap and sometimes it has good off Broadway stuff. The last good thing for me was Bring up the Bodies which was the last Broadway offer they had. it's worth it even if u just get one ticket considering it's only 20 bucks a year

Philly, answer me this. Why do you think that writing something on the internet entitles you to ditch rules of spelling? "It's worth it even if you just get one ticket..." not "It's worth it if u get one ticket. Learn the agreed upon rules of the language we all use, get your facts straight about what you do and don't know with regards to theatre, then get back to us.

Isn't it a membership violation to post about it?

It does matter. The reason that it does is because not using it the right way can give people the feeling that you're not educated and stupid. Furthermore, with regards to the info that you post being wrong. Well, if it is then you are the one who walks away looking bad since you posted it. It doesn't matter. For example, say you're working on an essay for school and all your sources cited came from wikipedia. No educator in their right mind is going to accept wikipedia as a reliable source for anything. So, by using it the teacher isn't going to question the info posted on wikipedia, they are going to question you for being foolish enough for using it.

I did get to see Airline Highway, Clinton and Disenchanted just before they started charging the $20 a month fee, which I have yet to pay. They have never ever asked for a student ID through the site and I have elderly friends that take advantage of it. "Psychotic joke" is definitely the perfect description for whoever the crazy behind the e-mail is.

Might be psychotic but before $20 annual fee I got go see Airline Highway, Significant Other, Realistic Jonees, This Is Our Youth, Murder Ballad and many more for $5 each-good seats too. I haven't seen anything that I want to see since the annual fee started-but I'm sure the $20 annual fee will pay for itself soon. P.S. They had MTC's Of Good Stock this week.
It's worth it.

That's what $20 annual fee means, dummy. I hope you get banned from the site for breaking the rules too.

Never mention that you received free tickets to any show that you attend. This includes at the theater, on any public social media site, or anywhere in general. Feel free to talk about the service in a general way and please tell folks how you enjoyed the shows you saw, just leave the free part out.

um i never even mentioned that word, but keep trying to pick at me for no reason, you're doing great

Just to be clear, there is no problem mentioning that any of the papering services offer free (usually with a small svc chg) tickets. Indeed, their public websites say that. It is no secret.
What is verboten is connecting that to specific shows (as in "I just got free tix from [papering service] for [name of show]"). Many of the papering sites advertise past free shows by name so much of the flack here from officious intermeddlers is nonsense.
